Content Creation Workshop – June 14th, 2011

DIGITAL SIGNAGE
Workshop: Creating Effective Content and Design

June 14 2011

By now you’ve probably heard about or seen the Digital Signage installations across campus – if you haven’t there is a new website that explains it all: https://digitalsignage.ubc.ca. The bottom line is that with the growth of digital signage it’s imperative that we, as university communicators, know power of this medium and how to make the most of this new tool. Content Creators (Cardinals, Students, Faculty and Staff) are able to submit content for a digital sign, given that it meets the standards of the Digital Signage Content Guidelines. It is possible for everyone to create effective Digital Signage content by learning a few important basics – so that’s why we’re holding a workshop! Please join us for a hands-on session in creating effective signage content and design. Since this is our first workshop, we’re keeping the numbers tight – so register before it fills up!

We request that you bring in a project, message, or initiative that you would like to communicate on Digital Signage as well as your own laptop. This will be a learning workshop session and by the end of it you should have a final piece of content that is digital signage ready.
